Lemons and Lime II
I enjoyed the interplay between the bright blue background and the bright yellow lemons. I also tried to achieve the translucent effect of the lemon wedges.

Lemons and Lime
I'm having fun with the shadows, the green in the lime, and the greens in the lemons. Also, the purples in the shadow compliment the yellows.

It's Out of the Bag
This is my first small still life. My goal is to paint at least 3 of these each week. All of these paintings will be 8x10 or 11x14, & most will be completed in 3 hours or less. I want to explore colors, shadows, shapes, & have alittle fun in the process. Hopefully my unique perspective will come through in my paintings & somebody out there will enjoy them. Please email me and let me know what you like or don't like.

One Down 4 to Go
I wanted to explore the subtle colors in the shadows & contours of the core, & look closely at the apples too. I normally just use the 3 primarys & white but felt the need to add phthalo green to my palette to acheive the vibrant green in the apples.

A Perfect Marriage
I've always loved this combination, plus it gave me the opportunity to use some complimentary colors. I added phthalo green to my palette on this painting also. Overlapping the 3 main elements gave the painting more depth.
